You will need:
2x20 ft. straw runner
bushel large seashells or stones
The addition of this beach runner not only serves as a pathway for the wedding party but also acts as a focal point towards the alter. About an hour before the wedding ceremony position the runner towards the ceremony location from where the guests will arrive. Anchor the runner in place with large seahells or stones, placing shells along the edges of the runner. Bury both ends of the runner in the sand to secure it in place. On a windy day, bury the sides as well to help secure it. Alternate ideas for decorating the runner:pots filled with seagrass or seashells or stencil the runner with sea motifs.
